Maureen's great idea: "Dump Cheney Now!"
In today's New York Times article, Maureen Dowd has a great idea:
"Dick Cheney, who declared that Saddam had nuclear capability and who visited C.I.A. headquarters in the summer of 2002 to make sure the raw intelligence was properly interpreted, is sticking to his deluded guns. (And still trash-talking those lame trailers.)"
Given that Cheney continues insisting that "father knows best," namely, that Saddam did indeed have weapons of mass destruction, regardless of proof to the contrary, it is high time that the DECEPTIVE GANG presently ensconced in the White House be replaced by HONEST, intelligent, thoughtful Americans such as those presently running for the Democratic nomination.
A Kerry-Clark or Clark-Kerry ticket would undoubtedly be a winner given the experience and intelligence of both men. Kerry-Edwards would also be a very attractive combo that most Americans could easily embrace.
It is time to say NO to the same Deceptive Gang who brought us Iran-Contra during the eighties and an UNprovoked war as soon as they were, incredibly, SELECTED by five U.S. Supremes to sit in the Oval Office.
A government that acts SECRETIVELY and DECEPTIVELY is NOT in the best interests of our great nation.
